Farm Museum

June 18, 2009

In Mittengen, the little town near our farmhouse, Marilyn swears she saw a Farm Museum, where we would be able to get an idea of life in the early farmhouse. We couldn’t find it!

We did find a museum in the town, and it had some amazing stained glass windows showing people from the past and the work that was done here – largely the making of linen. There were also some charming

 life size iron statues.

The museum we found also had some “typical” construction, most notably a thatch roof. It was right in the same hotel as the restaurant where we ate the night before.
