The Augustine Sisters (three of us) are going to travel together. Who knows if this is the only time (June 2009) or the beginning of an annual tradition.  Friends and family might find the journal entries of interest, and we’ll share our awesome photography here, too.

Hi: JoAnn, Marilyn and Laura (intrepid travelers 3.
Your travelog has me walking right with you especially as you knocked on the front door of a perfect stranger’s home. The pictures are awsome as promised!! I’m all caught up now so keep the news coming, please.

Is that JoAnn in the drivers seat of the Landrover? I was unable to enlarge that one. XXXOOO Joan

  9. Dear Laura et al,

Your photos and travelogue are wonderful. However, where are the people?!
Don’t be like Dave and me and leave yourselves out. We need Three Sisters Photos!

    Love you,
    K

  10. Ladies,

I have enjoyed your travel blog a great deal. It is especially rewarding seeing mom through her younger sister’s eyes. “Why did they move the farm equipment to the other side of the field?”

    Stay safe,

    Love,
    Neil IV

My husband ran across your web site while looking for information on Ferdinand Freking, his great-great grandfather. He emigrated to Iowa and has an extensive number of descendants here. It would be interesting to compare information!
